Simon MacSorley ACIOB, MBIFM– Director

Simon MacSorleySimon has nearly 30 years experience in Estate Management in the private, public and third sectors. In addition to being a Director at Vassall Centre, he is also Director of Estates at Marlborough College, one of the UK's leading independent schools. Prior to this he was Director of Estates at Hft Ltd, a national charity supporting adults with learning disabilities. He has 12 years public sector experience with Avon and Somerset Constabulary and North Bristol NHS. He is also a trustee with Shaw Healthcare (Homes) Ltd which is an exempt charity which provides grant funding for charitable projects. He is experienced in building construction and refurbishment, property development and commercial property management, all of which will benefit the Trust as it enters an exciting final phase to become a completely developed, self-sufficient centre.

He is married to Jane and has two grown-up children and two step-children and lists among his interests playing the guitar (very badly) and canine psychology.

Simon feels passionately that everyone should have every opportunity to fulfil their full potential in all aspects of life, regardless of disability.

When asked why he wanted to be a part of Vassall Centre trust, Simon's response was "The Vassall Centre is a fantastic example of what can be achieved by disabled people for disabled people and their passion and commitment is truly inspiring. It's great to be involved with such a centre of excellence".
