John Prior

John was born into a business family in Bristol in 1942. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1968. He had a career in business and manufacturing, holding a variety of posts including Executive Chairman of an international PLC based in the South West.

For the past 15 years he has been involved in a variety of charities amongst which at the present time include:- Chairman of The Princes Trust (South West Region), Chairman of the Bristol Drugs Project, board member and former Chair of Audit of South West Housing Society.  

He is a member of Social Enterprise Committee of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). He was the initiator of a self build project for ex-service personnel in Bristol (Bedminster) on behalf of CSBA.

Amongst his other interests, he has been a farmer for some 25 years in Somerset.
