Andy Rickell

Andy Rickell is our first Chief Executive Officer. Andy who has cerebral palsy, and is hard of hearing has spent many years campaigning for disabled people’s rights. Andy is a regular columnist for the national magazine, Disability Now.

He is a member of Equality 2025, a panel of disabled people who advise the government on disability policy, and a member of the Executive of the South West Disability Equality Network (SWDEN).

Previously Andy was an Executive Director of Scope, one of the UK’s largest disability organisations, where he significantly increased the employment of disabled people from 3.7% to over 20% in under three years.

Andy was educated at Selwyn College, Cambridge, with a first class degree in engineering and management studies. He is also a Methodist local preacher.
